WHAT ARE DENTAL IMPLANTS?
Watch The Informative Implant Video
Dental implants are a popular and permanent method for single tooth and multiple teeth replacement. In the past, patients generally had to rely on non-implant dental bridges and dentures for replacing missing teeth. The problem with these methods is that a patient can suffer bone deterioration due to the missing teeth roots. Modern advances in dentistry have allowed patients to enjoy the look, feel and function of real teeth, using implant technology. All while saving the bone density structure.
WHAT ARE DENTAL IMPLANTS USED FOR?
Replacing a Missing Tooth
A single tooth can be replaced by an individual implant topped by a carefully crafted artificial crown. Your replacement tooth will look and feel completely natural and will have the same biting and chewing power as a natural tooth. Dr. Shlosberg will design your crown in such a way that it blends in perfectly with the rest of your teeth and no one will ever notice you have an implant.
Replacing Multiple Teeth
For replacing several teeth in a row, Dr. Shlosberg will either use individual implants topped by single replacement crowns, or he will use an implant-supported bridge. An implant-supported bridge is a series of connected crowns that is supported by two or more implants. Dr. Shlosberg will examine you and will recommend the option that he feels will work best for your needs.
Full Mouth Reconstruction
When a patient is missing most of their teeth and looking for dentures as a replacement, "All on 4" dental implants might be the best method of reconstruction. All on 4 implants help prevent bone loss and deterioration over time, due to the jaw bone having no remaining function. It looks and feels just like natural teeth and it is virtually unbreakable.

If you are missing teeth and suffer from any kind of embarrassment or pain, then it may be a safe bet to assume that you're a good candidate. Most of our patients come to us seeking reprieve from the pain in their teeth and gums. Some patients have suffered a lifetime from continuing oral health problems. Generally speaking, dental implants are a good choice for this particular type of patient.
Yes we do! We offer financing in a few different ways, through Care Credit, The Lending Club, and in-office financing on dental implants, implant supported bridges and denture supported implants (or All on 4s).
Dental implants are a superior choice over any kind of denture. Dental implants are stronger and can last a lifetime. Implants allow you to eat whatever foods you wish, without having to remove your denture or worry about them sliding around during meals. They are also a permanent structure that can last a lifetime with proper follow up and care. You can throw away your denture adhesive and never have to worry about your dentures again!
If you're worried about the pain of the procedure, you can rest assured that we take every precaution to eliminate pain during any of our procedures. Placing of implants is also generally less painful than any kind of tooth extraction. And if you don't want to take our word for it, take a look at what our previous patients have to say on Google!
