Beverly Hills Invisalign®

The Alternative to Braces

Home » Invisalign

Are you seeking a more beautiful looking smile in Beverly Hills but not looking for the hassle of traditional braces? Invisalign® might be the perfect solution for you! Many adult patients think that correcting misalignment is reserved for kids and teenagers, but thanks to Invisalign®, no one even has to know you're wearing braces. The “aligners” are composed of plastic trays which completely remove the need for any metal fixtures. These trays are virtually invisible and can be removed at any time. This makes activities like eating, brushing and flossing much easier than traditional orthodontic braces. Invisalign® also requires fewer visits to the dentist or orthodontist than traditional braces.

The perfect compliment to dental implants

Tooth re-positioning using clear aligners is a natural compliment to dental implants. Often when teeth are lost, there is a drifting or movement of the remaining teeth, into the open space. Re-positioning is often recommended to allow for correct implant positioning or better aesthetics. The Invisalign treatment can be completed before, during or after implant treatment.

Invisalign treatment consists of a series of dental aligners, which you switch out approximately every two weeks.  Each aligner is individually manufactured with exact calculations to gradually shift your teeth into place. We will devise an Invisalign system and plan that is custom-made for your teeth so you'll end up with replacement teeth that truly fit.

How does the Invisalign system work?

Invisalign® starts with a visit to our office where we will take impressions of your teeth for creating a 3d model. Your teeth’s moldings are then sent to a dental technician that will work with us to create a digital treatment plan. Our doctors will customize a full plan for each patient based their bite and corrective needs. The plan is then shipped to a lab where your entire course of aligners is custom fabricated to fit your precise moldings. These aligners are then shipped back to our office and the doctor will provide you with them upon your next visit. Each aligner would be worn for a course of about 2 weeks. You will then need to visit our offices roughly once every two months for checkups.

Added benefits compared to traditional braces

Both traditional braces and Invisalign will treat a wide variety of cases that include teeth crowding, spacing issues, crossbites, over-bites and under-bites. The best thing about Invisalign however, is that it virtually invisible to the naked eye and can be taken out whenever you need. This allows for better oral hygiene and more enjoyable meals. Patients with traditional braces have often complained of discomfort due to the metal fixtures involved, but with Invisalign, the uncomfortable metal is replaced with smooth plastic.

Invisalign Frequently Asked Questions:

The length of your Invisalign treatment depends on the patient. Sometimes it is only necessary to use the system to close a few spaces or treat minor malocclusion. Because each case is different, treatment can last anywhere from as little as 3 months. In some cases, treatment can last a little longer than 16 months.

Typically each aligner is worn for a period of two weeks. However, each course is specific to the patient and therefore your doctor will outline a specific plan or cycle for each patient.

Invisalign treatment is great for both teens and adults who’s malocclusion as ideal for treatment. Other problems may exist with a patients bite that may require a more traditional orthodontic approach. Each patient should be evaluated on a case by case basis. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Cost is typically comparable to traditional braces but again varies on a case by case basis. If a longer course is needed to correct the malocclusion, pricing can increase.
