Local Anesthesia is used during the surgical procedure to eliminate any discomfort. An intravenous sedation is highly recommended so that you have no recollection of the entire surgical procedure. Depending on the amount of surgery and the number of implants placed, some minimal bruising and swelling in the gum and soft tissues may be noticed. Most patients indicate that the discomfort is minimal and many return to work the following day.
